A driver in
epidermal dermatology AQP3
- Aquaporin – 3 (AQP3) is abundant in the skin
- It transports water and glycerol — an important moisturizing molecule
- Higher AQP3 activity = better skin hydration, elasticity, and barrier function

AQP3 is a key protein target in epidermal homeostasis
– hydration, elasticity, barrier recovery,
wound healing, cellular energy and metabolism
It improves skin hydration and barrier function.

BENEFITS
- Intensely hydrated, comforted skin
- A smoother, visibly plumper complexion
- Immediate soothing and nourishment
- Silky softness and radiant glow
- 24 – H clinically proven hydration

INGREDIENTS
Fucogel® is an active polysaccharide obtained by bacterial fermentation.
It is an amazing active ingredient and excipient at the same time. It represents a double activity; physical (filmogenic effect, skin feel enhancement, moisturizing properties) and biological (stimulation of longevity proteins, regulation of the inflammation markers and the epidermic differentiation, via the interaction of its glycan structure with keratinocytes receivers) conferring it a S.M.A.R.T. effect that has resulted in it becoming a true reference in cosmetics.
S – soothing
M – moisturising
A – anti – aging
R – restructuring
T – touch
Fucogel® has the ability to capture and retain water, which gives it short – and medium – term moisturizing properties (in vivo test). It also immediately soothes the skin by restoring feelings of comfort and well – being (in vitro and in vivo tests).

This active ingredient is a complex of glycerin and glyceryl glucoside of plant origin. A combination of glycerine and glucose, glyceryl glucoside is naturally present in micro – algae: subjected to saline stress, they accumulate this molecule to protect themselves from dehydration. This active ingredient moisturizes skin instantly and durably (up to 24 hours) (in vivo tests) by boosting the formation of aquaporins (in vitro tests), proteins that act as channels to transport water within the skin. Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is one of the skin’s most important building blocks. Its exceptional capacity to retain water makes it a unique moisturizing active ingredient. The sodium hyaluronate used in this formula has a high molecular weight (1800 to 2200 kDa). It forms a non – occlusive moisturizing film on the skin’s surface (in vivo test), giving a soft, velvety appearance.
What are aquaporins? Aquaporins are specialized membrane proteins that act as channels allowing water to move in and out of cells efficiently. Think of them as tiny “water gates” embedded in the cell membrane. They are crucial because simple diffusion is far too slow to meet the body’s water transport needs. Aquaporins solve this problem by enabling rapid, regulated water flow. They are essential for making the cell absorb water and swell. We have several thousands AQPs per mm2 of cell membrane. Peter Agre and Roderick MacKinnon won Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovering these channels in cell membranes.
