What is Persian silk tree?

Albizia julibrissin, the Persian silk tree, pink silk tree, or mimosa tree is a tree native to southwestern and eastern Asia. Its leaves slowly close during the night and during periods of rain, the leaflets bowing downward; thus its modern Persian name shabkhosb means “night sleeper”.

In Japan, it is called nenenoki which means “sleeping tree”.  Albizia julibrissin is a  tree with a broad crown of level or arching branches, growing to 5 – 16 m.

Its bark is dark greenish grey, becoming vertically striped with age. Its flowers bloom throughout the summer.  The flowers resemble starbursts of pink silky threads. The origin of Albizia julibrissin is Iran, Azerbaijan, China, and Korea, but now it is widely planted all over the world in parks and gardens due to its beauty.

Barley was one of the first grains to be domesticated by humans, in Africa and Asia more than 10.000 years ago. It was the main cereal crop grown in Ancient Greece and remained so for thousands of years. Amorphophallus konjak root extract – Japanese root extract

Konjac is a tropical plant that grows in Southeast Asia and has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine and Japanese cuisine. Its proper plant name is Amorphophallus konjac, but it’s also called Konjaku, Devil’s Tongue, Snake Palm, and Voodoo Lily. The Konjac Plant has a starchy root called a “Corm” which contains around 40% glucomannan gum, a water-soluble dietary fiber known for its ability to absorb a huge volume of water and turn it into a gel.

Konjak Root extract powder is a polysaccharide made out of the tuber of Amorphophallus Konjak. It is a natural thickener with an excellent moisturizing effect. It helps the skin stay plump and youthful. The extract penetrates the first layer of the epidermis to bring moisture to the surface, reducing the appearance of fine lines. It is a real “power plant” rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D, and E, proteins, lipids, and minerals. It makes the skin tone even.

Hyaluronic Acid
